On a 1897 OS map of Chepping Wycombe the area in circle around the Newland Chapel is where Long Row, Millers Row and the spread Eagle Inn were located
While Frank seems to dissapear after birth of sons in 1920’s we do know that he was living there then. This photo Shoreditch High Street, Old Street and the Kingsland Road meet, taken in the early 1920’s…. You can see The Spread Eagle sitting just behind (what was then) Shoreditch Station.
