But because his father died his mother in financial distress placed him in the care of the Dr Barnados Society. Dr Barnados without his mothers consent or knowledge sent him to Canada in 1912 as a “Home Child” emigrant. The records show that in 1924 he emigrated from Canada to the USA and from thereon its not been possible to trace his whereabouts.
