Blencowe Families World War One World War Two Bicester Blincows
About
A Blencowe Family Association (BFA) member the late Don Blincoe (1930-2000) spent several years documenting the descendants of James Blincoe (1650-1699). The result of his diligent research was a document that is the foundation for this study of the American Blincoe’s. However, not all of the family in the USA descend from James Blincoe (1650-1699). There have been several emigrants with the Blencowe name who established large families in the US and of course, they are also the subject of our studies. Two BFA members Daphne Austin and Roger Blinko have collaborated to present an updated version of Don’s original work and Daphne’s research of several years into three studies; the Descendants of James Blincoe; the Blincoes in the US Civil war and those that served in the lesser Spanish American war.
Note: the American Blincoe’s – Blencowe’ who served in the two world wars are part of Roger Blinko’s works which can be found in these pages.

James Blincoe Descendants
A single document of the descendant tree has been produced by Daphne Austin. It’s a simple PDF document that requires you to know a couple of things, it’s a flat-file ie no hierarchy typical of family trees and no links within the document. Each generation is numbered in front of each name. James Blincoe is denoted as third-generation so his children are designated 4.Name grandchildren 5.Name and so on.
