	18 January 1788	The fleet arrived in Botany Bay but the landing party was not impressed with the site, and moved the fleet to Port Jackson and settled in Sydney Cove on 26/01/1788.
	1790	2nd fleet of convicts arrived.
	1791	3nd fleet of convicts arrived.
	1793	1st free settlers arrived.
	17 Feb 1831 John Blencowe and Mary Drinkwater	John Blencowe a wheelwright and Mary (Drinkwater) from Brackley Northants, arrived Stanley, Van Diemens Land on the Thomas Laurie. John was contracted by the Van Diemans Land Company of Stanley Launceston, Tasmania, for 7 years as a wheelwright, he then sailed for South Australia on the Hartley and settled on South Terrace Adelaide where he became a glazier and painter The ship ‘Thomas Laurie’ (Lowry) laying in the River Tamar off Launceston, V. Diemen’s Land (sic) Glover, John Richardson, 1790-1868.
	6 Oct 1834 William Blinco 1804 Bicester	William Blinco, born 1804 Bicester. One of 220 convicts transported on the Henry Tanner, 27 June 1834. Arrived Port Jackson, New South Wales 26th Oct. 1834. The barque Henry Tanner was a brand new ship having been built at Sunderland in 1834. She departed England bound for New South Wales on 1st July 1834. More information about the voyage here
	1 Aug 1835 Thomas Blencowe 1803 Kings Sutton	Thomas Blencowe A Blacksmith arrived in Van Diemens Land on the Mangles convict ship . Mangles Voyage departed 24th Apr 1835 and arrived 1st Aug 1835. Thomas one of 310 Convicts onboard. Convicted in 1834 for theft 6 months in Jail then again in 1835 and Transportation term 7 yrs . His criminal record shown to the left.
Longford Christ Church, Tasmania	5 Feb 1841 John Blencowe 1820 Middleton Cheney	John Blencowe b.1820 in Middleton Cheney was one of 320 convicts transported on the Lord Lyndoch, 7 September 1840 Plymouth and arrived Hobart 5 February 1841, deported after being convicted in Northampton Assizes of Burgalry (House Breaking)
	5 May 1842 Francis Blincoe	Francis Blincoe travelled aboard the Clifford from London accompanying him wife Ann and six children Anne 15, Sarah 13, Francis 11, John 7, William 5, and James 11 months Landed 12 May 1842 at Nelson voyage of four and half months Opposte image1842, The Fifeshire arrived in Nelson with immigrants for the New Zealand Company’s first settlement in the South Island.
Bengal Merchant	2 September 1852 James Blencowe 1803 Tailor, Esther Blencowe nee Main and Emma Blencowe 1826	James Blencowe and family on an un-assisted passage arrive in Melbourne in September 1852 onboard the Bengal Merchant. James a Tailor set up business in Melbourne
Gold Diggings -Edward Roper	15 October 1852 Brothers Thomas Blencowe 24 and Nathaniel Blencowe 20 arrive in Adelaide	Nathaniel 20 and Robert 24 arrive in Adelaide. The Prince Regent having departed from Plymouth, England on 12 July 1852.Nathaniel and Robert having heard of the newly discovered Gold fields went on to Melbourne to dig for their fortune
	4 Nov 1852 Harriet Mary Blencowe 1831 Stepney and Sir Graham Berry 1831 Twickenham	Harriet Mary Blencowe and Sir Graham Berry Harriet (c.1831-1868) was born to James Blencowe and Harriett Hennessey ( Baptised at Stepney) She married Graham Berry (1822-1904) at Chelsea, London 29 April 1848. Arrived on “Marlborough” in 4 Nov 1852 from London to Port Phillip Bay, Victoria. Sir Graham had a successful career in eventually becoming premier of the State of Victoria to which he had emigrated. 	9 Dec 1852 William Blincoe 1832 Bicester	William Blincoe son of William b.1804 above) a convict transported from Plymouth on the Lady Montague on 9 August 1852 arriving Hobart, Tasmania on 9 December 1852.
Port Adelaide 1848	1 Aug 1853 Ann Blinco and Robert Steven’s	Robert Stevens and Ann Blinco with children Mary Ann , George and Elizabeth. arrived in South Australia on 1 August 1853. The Calabar was a wooden ship of 754 tons which sailed from Southampton, under the control of Captain David Moodie, on 4th May 1853, arriving in Port Adelaide on 1st Aug 1853. There were six births during the voyage and eleven deaths; one adult and ten children.
Hunter St., Newcastle	31 Oct 1854 John Blinco 1834-1905	John Blinco age 19 arrived on an assisted passage on the ship Ellenborough into the port of Newcastle NSW, He was illiterate on arrival but progressed to a position of Inspector on the Railways
Alfred Blinco’s Farm on Gowrie Road, Toowoomba. In front of the farmhouse, Alfred, his wife and three daughters, one of which is holding a baby.	16 Dec 1854 Alfred Blinco 1836-1913	Alfred Blinco arrived at Moreton Bay, Queensland in 1854 . Aged 18 and a Carpenter, Alfred was a assisted passenger on the ship ‘General Hewitt Alfred married Marian Dinah Langton in 1861 and all 12 Children were born at Darling Downs Queensland.
	Before 1855 George Henry Blincko 1820-1885	George Henry Blincko from Stroudwater Gloucestershire who settled in Bacchus Marsh Victoria marrying Ellen O’Brien in 1855. They had seven children all born in Victoria.. George was a Farmer and Charcoal Burner and died at Yarra Bend in 1885. Note: A chapter about George and family (written by descendant Jennifer Carter) is in the Blencowe Book.
The Ship Morayshire	19 Jan 1856 George Robert Blinkco 1837-1889	George Robert Blinkco a Farm Labourer age 19 from Swaffham Prior in Cambridge arrives in Sydney. Although George stated he had no relatives we do know that his sister Ann and her family had arrived in South Australia in 1853. The emigrant ship Morayshire arrived in Port Jackson, Sydney, New South Wales, on January 19, 1856. It had departed from Southampton, England, on October 9, 1855, carrying assisted immigrants to Australia.
Geelong Harbour	4 June 1856 Mrs Sarah Blinco 1811 and children Maria, Joseph and John	Sarah Blinco (Nee Thomas) wife of Joseph Blinco 1816 of Fulmer, Buckinghamshire apparently travelling without him arrives with children 8, 7 and 5. The ship Arthur the Great arrived at Geelong and became grounded and the ships passengers stranded until uplifted by local steamers and brought ashore
	21 Jan 1857 Thomas Blencowe b 1835 and Eliza Bennett b.1835	Thomas Blencowe a Mason and Bricklayer, spouse Eliza Bennett and infant son Thomas Blencowe from Gawcott arrived in Botany Bay in 1857 on the ship “Matoaka” as assisted Immigrants. “..Eldest son Thomas was born during the voyage. Thomas and a large family settled in South Creek NSW. Opposite the St Magdalena Church South Creek, was were 11 children were baptised
Auckland Harbour	9 Oct 1857 William Blencowe 1826 and Anne Sweet 1827	William Blencowe a draper born 1826 Berrington oxon, and wife Elizabeth Sweet and daughters Fanny Jane and Annie arrive in Auckland on the Anne Longton vessel. They had boarded this ship at Gravesend 13 June1857 . William and
Lenaville the house built for Henry Blinco in 1885 . Built by convict labour in limestone quarried locally.	12 Sep 1864 Henry Blinco and Eliza Hinds	Henry Blinco,b. 1832 Hedgerley together with his first wife Eliza (nee Hinds), sailed in 1864 on the Merchantman to Fremantle in Western Australia, he was one of the Warders guarding 280 convicts. He eventually became Chief Warder at Perth. Western Australia. Henry had served in India 1849-1854 with the 96th Regiment of Foot , much travelled even after settling in Perth, he returned to England to guard prisoners returning from Australia.
Melbourne 1888	Oct 1860 John Thomas Blencowe 1828-1882 and Caterina Blencowe nee Rigoli 1824-1863 and family	John Thomas Blencowe On the ship Western Chief is accompanied by his family from Italy via London to Australia on an unassisted passage. He is a Tailor and sets up in Little Flinders St Melbourne making military uniforms
	16 Nov 1874 John Blincowe and Emma Simms	John, Emma and two children drowned at sea as the emigrant ship Costpatrick caught Fire and sank in the Atlantic Ocean Bound for New Zealand the detail of the disaster here
	21 Feb 1884 Louisa Blencowe and Alfred Horley	In 1884 Alfred and Louisa Horley (nee Blencowe) , together with their five children, migrated to Australia. They departed from Tilbury Dock on the 3rd January aboard the Steam Ship “Sutlej” and arrived in Sydney on February 21st just fifty –four days later. During the voyage the ship made several stops to replenish the coal supply and supplement the provisions. They called at Malta, Port Said, Suez, Colombo, Albany, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Testament to the fortunes of John Robert Blencowe is the Family Monument in Melbourne.	21 September 1894 Robert John Blencowe	On 21 September 1894, Robert John Blencowe (1858-1905) a Brewer, arrived in Sydney from London on the ‘Oruba’ at his own expense.Robert was born in Brackley, Northamptonshire to William Blencowe (1827-1896) and Mary Ann Lea (1832-1893).
